Book #10 in the vintage girls' series featuring nurse Cherry Ames, the first by Julie Tatham as author taking over from the original Helen Wells. This is an edition from the original series issued with DJs, with brown tweed cloth-covered boards & black lettering/image of Cherry to center front cover. Book lists to CA #16 & Vickie Barr (VB) #10 in front, front DJ flap lists to "Cherry Ames #16, back flap to VB #10, rear cover to Connie Blair #9. Both book & DJ are in VG condition: very clean, binding strong & straight, pages lightly tanned with an occasional foxed spot. Old gift inscription inside front cover in pen dated 1956. The price-clipped DJ is bright & colorful & unfaded, minor edgewear & rubbing to extremities, some chipping at head of spine & sticker pull to lower spine; Nicely protected in new mylar cover Free!Our photos depict the Exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have!
