London: George Allen and Unwin Ltd, 1941. Book. Very Good. Original Cloth. First English Edition. 7 3/4" x 5 1/4". 172 pages. The last and unfinished work of Karel Capek. Also includes a statement by the author's wife, a broadcast talk by Capek, and various tributes tp Capek. Hb in dw, in original off-white cloth with green text to spine and upper board, top edged green, light bump to lower corner, dw (from photographic design by E. Heimann] largely complete though rubbed and chipped at edges and with several minor and one more significant tear. This last tear extends from the upper front edge, in an arc across the last three letters of 'Cheat', with some whitening due to folding of the attached portion. No repair has been attempted..
