Chicago: The Faithorn Company, 1924. First Edition. Octavo. Limited to 1000 copies. The present copy is number 381 specially made for Rev. Lewis B. Fisher and signed by the author, 137 pages, his work has humorous look at the area before its settlement and displacement of native Americans. It moves to his view of what might come in the future. Page 124 has this architect's dream which was drawn by Hugh M.G. Garden, of course, his estimate of value in 1924 of over $2 billion dollars was considered a sum beyond the imagination of even the greatest dreamers of a greater Chicago.Bound in dark brown flexible leather, red morocco cover and spine labels gilt bottom corners lightly bumped a few scratches to spine labels. A very nice copy.
