Privately printed for the author by Ballantyne, Hanson & co, 1896. First edition (hardback), limited to 150 numbered copies, of which this is copy number 31. 8vo (22cm by 14cm), xi, 164pp. Portrait frontispiece of the author by Molly Evans, and two photogravures of the bookroom. Original white parchment spine, green cloth boards, gilt titling to the front board and the spine, top edge gilt. The binding is a little rubbed and spotted, and there is light foxing of the preliminary pages; overall, this book is in good to very good condition. Signed by the author on the limitation page, and signed and inscribed by the author on the verso of the front free endpaper.
