About This Item

London: Hodder and Stoughton, 1924. First edition, 1924, signed by the author on the front free endpapers with an additional gift inscription below from the author's aunt. Poems of a fantasy world of elves and fairies, written and illustrated by a young girl. Red cloth, color frontis, full page line drawings, dustjacket with color illustration mounted on the front cover. Unfortunately someone glued the plain inner dustjacket flaps to the pastedown endpapers, otherwise condition would be very good. The book has minimal edgewear, good hinges, sound text block, unevely darkened endpapers (including the page with the inscriptions), pages slightly age-yellowed but clean and unmarked. The dustjacket has edge rubbign and some small chips to upper edge, none affecting jacket lettering or design. Second book by this talented child, a follow up from The Elfin Pedlar.. Signed by the Author. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
