No date - the preface is dated1890 and there is an inscription dated 1912 to the front end paper. Gilt and light blue embossed design to the front board and spine. Illustrated with numerous full page plates including a frontispiece. A small area of soiling where a sticker had previously been applied to the rear board. Light fading to the spine. Slight spine lean. A neat ink presentation inscription to the front end paper dated 1912. Light foxing to the fore edges, title page and slightly to the contents pages. Slight splitting to the front inner hinge, though this is only superficial as the board remains very firmly attached. Several page corners have been turned, leaving neat creases. A soil mark to the very edge of the lower corner of a few pages and other occasional scattered soil marks. A well preserved copy in very good condition.
