Indianapolis / New York: Bobbs-Merrill / Grosset & Dunlap 2 books by the American mystery writer, Earl Derr Biggers. 1. Charlie Chan Carries On - 334 pp, 7 5/8" H, Bobbs-Merrill, c1930 - orange/yellow boards with dark blue lettering on spine and front board (no illustrations). 2. Fifty Candles (with The Agony Column) - 159 pp + 194 pp (two complete short mysteries in one volume - Charlie Chan does NOT appear in either), 7 5/8" H, Grosset & Dunlap, c1926 - yellow/orange cloth with black lettering on spine and front board, illustration of candle on front board. A slight separation between some page gatherings but the pages are still holding firmly in the binding, light toning to the pages and a few odd foxing marks, very small two letter ink notation on the front free endpaper of 'Charlie Chan...', small bump at the bottom corner of approx. pages 130 to 270 in 'Charlie Chan...' - a few of these pages also have a very small edge tear, very light browning on the endpapers, light browning to the edges of the text blocks - plus tiny foxing marks on 'Fifty Candles', light wear and wrinkling at the top/bottom of the spines, wear and slight bumps at the corners of the boards, some light rubbing and soiling on the boards.. Early Reprints.. Hard Cover. Good/No Dust Jackets.
