Highly rated, this book is a follow-up to his first book on the history of Charlevoix, a small town which is located in northern Michigan. It includes chapters on Beaver Island, The Ironton Ferry,.Great Hotels, Working, Vessels, Lighthouses, etc. Original publisher's cream cloth covers with brown spine and cover lettering. This book is an Ex-Library copy--there are no external library markings, however there are library stamps on the front free end paper and the rear end paper; there is also a library bar code sticker on the front free end paper and a plain white sticker (about 1" square) on the rear pastedown. The errata slip issued with this book has been taped to the front end paper. This book appears to be now out-of-print and actually quite uncommon. There is a little slight rippling to the foredge, else this is a nice, clean tight book, and the covers are in very nice condition. Lacks the publisher's clear plastic cover that came on the book.
