Mystic Seaport, CT: Marine Historical Association / Weslayan University Press, 1973. Hardback large wide octavo, no jacket, very good condition, black cloth covers, black & white drawings (including frontispiece), few black & white photos, endpaper drawings with boat plan, cover corners slightly bumped, small mark top edge, minor edgewear, bookplate inside front cover (slightly overlaps boat plan, but the same plan is also inside the rear cover). 131 pp. The story of the restoration of The Charles W. Morgan, the only wooden whaling boat to remain in the United States. The whaleship was built in 1841 and is now preserved at Mystic Seaport (Connecticut) as the only example of its type in the United States. Based on manuscript material in the G. W. Blunt White Library of The Marine Historical Association at Mystic Seaport. (There is loosely inserted ephemera inside the back of the book, which includes the story of the restoration of the Charles W. Morgan. The story appeared in The Age on 10/6/2011. There are also colour photos of ships which appeared in the National Geographic in August, 1950.).
