London: Kegan Paul, Trench & Co, 1888. Leather. Very Good. 7" by 5". None. A smartly bound copy of Kingsley's writings, dating from the 1880s. Sixteenth Abridged Edition. 'Edited by his wife'. Both volumes feature tissue-guarded frontispieces. Complete in two volumes. With the bookplates of Harold Gabriel Morrish to the front pastedowns. In full tree calf bindings. Externally, very smart with just some rubbing to the extremities and slight fading to the upper margin of the front board of volume I. Front joint of volume II cracked but holding firm. Internally, firmly bound. Some foxing to the first and last few pages but otherwise very clean throughout. Marginal tidemark to the frontispiece of volume I. Very Good
