About This Item

London: John Murray, 1902. Hardback. Good/No Jacket. 561 8vo. A new (one volume) edition. Photogravure portrait as frontispiece (lacks tissue guard), facsimile letter plate, as called for, original light green cloth-covered boards, gilt titles to spine, related early 20th Century cuttings pasted in at front and back (article from The Observer, 1929 and one by E V Lucas from The Times, 1937). Previous owner's name to front free end paper, dated 1928. Condition notes: Boards rubbed, especially along joints, some lifting of cloth, soiling of external page edges. The pasting in of the cuttings has not added to the aesthetic.

We are still accepting orders for overseas posting but there continue to be delivery delays to countries outside the UK. Please bear this in mind when ordering; if you are in a hurry for your order PLEASE LET US KNOW so that we can discuss options.

We offer a 30 day return guarantee, with full refund including shipping costs for up to 30 days after delivery if an item arrives damaged or has been mis-described. For items returned for other reasons, we regret we cannot refund postage.
