Prize binding (Drax Grammar School), half leather on dark green cloth-covered boards, marbled end papers, top edges gilt, gilt school crest to front board, prize presentation label dated 1921 to front paste down. "New edition"- a single-volume version (348 pages) of the work first published in three volumes. Frontispiece with tissue guard, facsimile of letter to verso of Contents page. Condition notes: Leather worn and rubbed, text block clean and sound.
