Seeley, Jackson, and Halliday, 1883. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1883. Fourth Edition. 252 pages. No dust jacket. Grey cloth covered boards with gilt. Contains black and white illustrations plates. Gilt applied to top edge of text block, remaining sides are rough cut. Pages have mild tanning and foxing throughout, moderate at end-papers, paste-downs and text-block edges. Plates are bright and clear. Heavy cracking at the hinges with exposed binding material. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout however binding remains reasonably firm. Ex Libris plate to front pastedown. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Cloth has minor damp and dust stains. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Moderate tanning to spine. Gilt lettering is darkened.
