Paperback small folio, very good condition, dark brown cover design (differs from stock photo), many black & white drawings, corner tip front cover creased, edges & rear endpapers minimally foxed, minor edgewear. 120 pp. Peter Cuffley provides a detailed catalogue of Australian home furnishings and other household items from the years spanning 1880 to 1940 (from the goldrushes to WW2), which brought many great and lasting changes to the Australian way of life. Mostly consists of items from early catalogues, including fashion, hardware, tools, furniture, jewellery and toys. The catalogues in this book reflect the tastes, aspirations and dreams of a nation coming of age. (Cover has dark brown design, which differs from the first printing.).
