Putnam, 1954. 1st. Hardback. Very Good/Good. Peter Kneebone. First edition hardback, 1954, with unclipped jacket. In overall good to very good used condition with only minor signs of handling and storage - dj rubbed to edges with a couple of short closed tears; blue cloth boards slightly faded to upper edges with small chip to cloth at spine head. Internally clean. Binding tight and appears little read, no annotations or inscriptions; light toning and one or two age-spots to page-ends and endpapers but text and illustrations bright and clear throughout. Not an old library book. Photograph available.

Pages and binding are presentable with no major defects. Minor issues present such as mild cracking, inscriptions, inserts, light foxing, tanning and thumb marking. Overall a good condition item. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some light marking and sunning. Unclipped jacket has moderate edgewear with chips, tears and creasing. Visible tanning to spine. Noticeable rubbing to surfaces.
