New York: Walker and Company. Very Good in Very Good dust jacket. 1982. First Edition. Hardcover. Blue cloth with gilt title lettering to front cover. Pp xii[i], 178. Illustrations in black and white and color. Introduction by Roger Tory Peterson. Full page color frontis. The cloth is faded along the edges as is the dust jacket. There is some shelf wear to both as well; remains a clean, attractive copy. Not price clipped. Fuertes is acclaimed to be America's greatest painter of birds. This volume was published to accompany the the exhibit of his work prepared under the auspices of The Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia, which toured major American museums in the mid 1980's. ; Thin 4to 11" - 13" tall .
