No jacket, as issued. Complete and unabridged. Illustrations by Joseph Ciardiello. Afterword by Edward Wagenknecht. First published 1865. Short stories by the master storyteller, Mark Twain (1835-1910). Handsome binding of green leatherette over spine with bold, bright, gilt titles, brown leatherette boards with green decorated outline panel on front, gilt titles within, with a green and gilt frog. Turned to the light, there is seen some discoloration on the lower front cover. Lower edge of boards and corners have light wear, and colorless spot to lower edge of text block, otherwise clean, unmarked, tight, solid and square, sharp upper corners. Internals as new - very clean, no markings, no creasing. Chapter headings with first letter enlarged and decorated. 230 pages. 9.25 x 6.25 inches. USA, Reader's Digest Assoc. 1992.
