Modernised text of 'The Description of Britain', first published by William Caxton in 1480 and based on the chapters on Britain from a 14th century translation of the Latin 'Polychronicon'. Gives a fascinating insight into Britain in the Middle Ages. 176pp with index, illustrated throughout in colour and black and white. Gilt lettering to spine. Minimal bumping to spine, otherwise near fine copy with no inscriptions. DJ is price-clipped, with slight edge and surface wear, and some fading and rubbing to spine, otherwise good. .
