About This Item
New York: P. O'Shea, Publishers, 1861. Hardcover. Poor. 12mo. 343 pages. Hardcover bound in dark brown cloth. The binding is worn but sound. There is a partial glass ring on the front cover, and the spine ends are chipping. Printed on very cheap paper (perhaps similar to newspaper) that has been browned and is brittle. The title page is detached and chipped about the edges, as is the final page of text. The bottom half of one of the final pages is missing. The date on the copyright page is not completely legible, but it appears to be 1861, which corresponds to what is seen on Worldcat. A scarce title, but a fragile production.

About Pages Past Used and Rare Books
Pages Past is a small used & rare bookshop located a few blocks from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Since 1996 we have been serving the Triad community as well as customers from around the world. We have around 15-20,000 volumes in our shop. We specialize in North Carolina, Virginia, Civil War, Old Leather, Christianity, Eastern and Western Philosophies, and the simply unusual. We very likely have the oldest books in Greensboro; we keep a nice selection of antiquarian volumes and scholarly books.
