New York: D. Appleton, 1849. First American edition. Hardcover. Good + overall. Small 8vo, 282 pp, tables, index, ads (vi), dark brown blind stamped cloth covers, with gilt title at spine. Title is chipped at the word "Engine", rubbing at spine ends and at lower corners, o/w good+ written as a series of questions and answers. Internally, pages lightly toned, small owner signature at ffep and pencil calculations inside back cover.
