New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1951. Later Grosset & Dunlap Printing. Publisher's Grey Paper Boards. Fine/Near Fine. This is a Grosset & Dunlap printing of Salinger's classic that was originally printed by Little Brown & Co. in 1951. Octavo 8 inches in height by 5.5 inches in width, 277 pages, previous owner's name and date in ink on first free page else FINE, green paper boards with brown title to spine, uniform red top stain, tight and square with perfect hinges and sharp corners. Jacket is near Fine, code 1951195 printed on top corner of front flap. Rear panel of jacket promoted 8 other G & D titles. Jacket is Very bight, couple of minor chips at the head and heel of spine, light sunning to spine. Real Sharp in new mylar sleeve. MUCH nicer than usually found.
