The Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes (International Exposition of Decorative Arts and Modern Industries) of 1925 was a landmark exhibition which gave rise to a new international style as well as the name of the period it would come to define: ART DECO. Architecture historian Dennis Sharp once wrote that what would become the "Moderne" style or "Moderne Architecture" was born at the Paris Exhibition of 1925. The event gave rise to Architectural and Decorative greats like Le Corbusier, René Lalique, Emile-Jacques Ruhlmann, Louis Cartier and Antoine Bourdelle among others.

Profusely illustrated original "Catalogue" of events and buildings at the Exposition. Includes all plates and maps. Text in French. Original laid paper binding decorated and titled in red and black on front cover. Light wear to edges and some light creasing, but an excellent surviving copy. A scarce book in commerce.
