New York: Harper and Brothers, 1931. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. FIRST EDITION. John Dickson Carr is widely regarded as one of the greatest mystery writers of the 20th century. Black cloth hardcover with orange titling. Back inner hinge starting. Front outer joint showing signs of wear. Some staining and rubbing on both covers. Spine is slightly cocked and bottom board edges show shelf wear. Mildly stained page edges. Front dust jacket interior (presumably) with plot summary/advertisement is pasted inside front cover. 279 pp. Mild foxing throughout, back pastedown is damp stained. Full refund if not satisfied.
