Hardcover in "tweed" light tan paper covered boards lettered in dark brown. 154 pp. Fine, small ownership name and address sticker front free endpaper. In the original dust jacket with the "Morrow" imprint on the spine but with the Walter J. Black imprint on the title page; front panel rubbed, rear panel soiled. "The day began just as any other--except for the new girl in Perry Mason's office---a crackerjack typist." But she seemed nervous and suddenly vanished without a trace--except for a couple of diamonds stuck under her desk (with chewing gum).
