Edinburgh [Scotland]: Printed by Alex. Lawrie and Company, 1813 [6], 88pp, bound in half leather and marbled paper, front hinge starting, binding tight, with a Genealogical Table on page 28. "Robert Hamilton was the advocate for the case, being the learned Sheriff-Principal of Lanarkshire (in 1818), who had considerable practice in peerage and feudal points" (Riddell's Comments on Keir, p115). Small label "Ex Libris A.B.W. MacEwen" being the author and Genealogist. Larger label for Auchincruive - The Former Country House and Estate in South Ayrshire, Scotland, built in the 18th Century. Occasional slip of paper laid-in being notes that may be pertinent to the book.
