Illustrated with 140 full colour paintings throughout. Fine condition. Carl Runguis (1860 - 1959) is regarded as one of the greatest game artists of the twentieth century. Essays by art historians Karen Wonders and Robert Stacey explore the connection between Runguis as a keen sporting hunter and his role as a wilderness conservationist and how that informed his work as an observant and attentive artist. 2001
