The Assembled Tales of John Galsworthy. A collection of short stories including: A Portrait, The Grey Angel, The Japanese Quince, The Prisoner, A Simple Talk, Stroke of Lightening, and many others. Written by John Galsworthy, an English novelist and playwright who was awarded the 1932 Nobel Prize in Literature. In the original half calf binding with black cloth boards. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and rubbing to the extremities. Light fading to the spine and the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot or handling mark. Light age toning to the extremities. Previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
