About This Item

New York: Scribners, 1925. First American edition. Hardcover. Ex-Library. First printing. Contains 56 stories from his "Tatterdemalion", "Motley", "Little man", and "Villa Rubein." Galsworthy is best remembered as the author of "The Forsyte Saga." He was also awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1932. He was an outspoken advocate for the women's suffrage movement, prison reform and animal rights. A bright ex-library with minimal markings, lacking a dustjacket. Still a good reading copy.
