London: Abelard, 1966. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. (London - New York - Toronto: Abelard-Schuman 1966). First Edition. Publisher's black boards with silver lettering to the spine. A VG copy (a 1 x 1/2 cm brown foxing spot to the fore-edge the edge of which has crept into the text block, a few minor foxing to the bottom edge and soft spine tips. The D/W is VG indeed with a touch of creasing/fraying at the spine tips and a couple of short, closed tears to the top edge of the front panel. The D/W is priced $3.50 and 16s net to the inside flap (as called for). The basis for the British 1967 movie of the same name (originally known as Come the Hero), directed by Don Sharp, and starring Tom, Susan Hampshire and Ed Begley.
