The Bodley Head , 1968. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. Translated by Nicholas Bethell and David Burg. Signed by the previous owner. Publication of 338 pages. There is silver lettering on the spine of the book. The boards are if good condition. There is very light foxing around the block of the book. Internally the pages are immaculately clean and complete. The binding is excellent. GK. Our orders are shipped using tracked courier delivery services.
Synopsis
Cancer Ward is a semi-autobiographical novel by Russian author Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, first published in 1967, and banned in the Soviet Union in 1968. The novel tells the story of a small group of cancer patients in Uzbekistan in 1955, in the post-Stalinist Soviet Union.
