A first edition copy of The Canary Islands by Florence du Cane with sixteen full page illustrations by her sister Ella Du Cane. This volumes is a wonderful guide to the canary Islands, exploring Tenerife, Grand Canary, Palma and Fuerteventura. The two du Cane sisters created travel books together, with Ella creating watercolours of the landscapes and locations. With sixteen colour illustrations and a folding map to the rear of the volume. Collated, complete. With adverts to the rear. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart with some light bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Previous owner bookplate to the front free endpaper and pencil inscription to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. Very Good
