Edward Augustus Kendall (1776 - 1842) wrote several childrens books featuring animals and inviting the reader to participate sympathetically in the adventures and experiences of these non-human creatures. Kendall's literary work included childrens fiction, translations of French literature, accounts of his travels in North America, novel set in South Africa, proposals for social improvements, and other journalism. .

At The Antiquarian Book Shop, located in Georgetown - an historic neighborhood of Washington, D.C. we have been buying, selling & appraising rare, interesting and scholarly books in Georgetown for more than 30 years.
