Dark cream coloured cloth covered boards with black label to the back strip and within that black label gilt coloured titles. Various essays / lectures on British history and politics over various periods. Topics include: – Ordinances for the Duchy of Lancaster; A Breviat of the Effectes devised for Wales; The Muster-Master by Gervase Markham; A Book of All the Several Officers of the Court of Exchequer by Lawrence Squibb and The Letters of Henry St John to the Earl of Orrery 1709 - 1711. Rubbing and slight bumping to the book corners with rubbing of the lower book edges. Patchy fading, flecking and handling marks to the book panels with age toning of the text block edges along with some faint foxing. Offset tanning and faint foxing to the endpapers.
