New York, New York: Grossman Publishers, 1968. First Edition First Printing . Hardcover. Near Fine/VG-. Contemporary collection of 17 essays on the Golden State & how it was shifting with the cultural revolution that swept the country in the 1960s, frequently the birthplace of changes that would spread nationwide. 240 pp. A First Edition, first printing from 1968, the year after the famed "Summer of Love" in Haight-Ashbury, this hardcover 8vo has blue cloth-covered boards stamped with a lighter blue design to front & orange lettering to spine. Very mild rubbing to extremities. The unclipped DJ is VG- (minus): bright yellow with light random soiling (heaviest to spine, with many small spots), small chips & tears & creases; nicely protected in new clear mylar cover free.
