New York: Knopf, 1969. Book Club. . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. An omnibus edition bringing together the three Cain novels that have become crime noir classics: "The Postman Always Rings Twice," "Mildred Pierce," and "Double Indemnity." All three of these novels have also been the basis for successful films and both books and films have become staples of any mystery-crime library or film collection. This copy is the book club edition, First Printing, First Edition Thus. 400 pages in black, paper-covered boards with gold lettering. Boards and text show only a touch of foxing on the top edge of the text block, o/w clean and unmarked, tight and square. Primarily white dustjacket shows very minor edge wear, light soiling and age-tanning, one tiny tear at bottom of spine, no creasing or chipping. Very decent copy of three of Cain's best.
