About This Item

New York: Viking, 1985. First edition. Hardcover. Hardcover. First edition. A fine book in a near fine dust jacket. A couple of short creases to the top of the dust jacket spine that have been taped on the inside of the jacket. Price of $22.95 present on front flap. All in all a lovely copy of this bulky book. This was Reisner's seminal work on water, irrigation and development of the American West. An important look at the politics and economics of water development in the arid Western United States, even more important as climate change alters the landscape and water resources. First printings have become uncommonly scarce.
