Preserved in removable jacket protectors. Overall jacket condition is Very Good. Book: Twelve volume set containing the complete letters and journals in 11 volumes issued between 1974-81, lacking the index (Volume 12) but includes the scarce 1994 supplementary volume containing newly discovered letters. Volumes 1 and 2 are second impressions, all other volumes are first printings. Red dyed top page edge. Some volumes have pencilled notes on rear free endpaper and a few pencilled margin marks and notes, text is otherwise clean throughout. Overall book condition is Very Good.
