Springfield: New England Publishing Company, 1866. First Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. As New. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. 235pp + 5pp ads, folding map. Rust colored cover, gilt lettering to cover. Corners rubbed, spine ends chipped, title hand-written on spine, contents age-toned, archival tape repair to map with very minor loss of text, bookplate of Mary Foote Burt (sister of Henry Burt?) on front free endpaper, small dampstaining to bottom edges, slight split to lower rear endpaper, binding is tight. Many black and white illustrations and 4 two-color plates.
