This book is the story of a young woman set fire to her husband in their bed to escape the helplessness of being trapped in an intolerable brutal marriage. Francine's story is told here and her attorney's defense that played on moral and social issues winning her acquittal by reason of temporary insanity using the "battered-woman syndrome" as a defense. A presentable reading copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
