The places, people, and products of Burma are full of interest, and the skillful, artistic work in gold, silver & brass, the sculp- ture, weaving, wood carving, pottery, and lacquer work, all highly artistic, will amply repay careful study. The dress, manners, and customs of the people, their history and their government from the most ancient days, and their present condition under British rule, are all fully treated in this volume in entertaining, vivid, and realistic style. .
