With a foreword by Wallace Stegner. With numerous scattered black & white photos, including at endpapers with a very large turnout for Mr. Tikas's funeral. Also with 3 maps showing the coalfields of Colorado & the Ludlow area. Volume 14 of the University of Utah Publications in the American West series. --- In full brown cloth-covered boards with gilt and gilt-stamped spine titling. Dust jacket repeats various images from the interior of the book. --- With prior owner's dated signature to front endpaper, otherwise a bright, tightly-bound copy lacking significant damages. Unpriced jacket with small tears and creasing to extremities, else intact and wrapped in removable archival mylar protector. ; Tall Octavo - 9 to 10 in. tall; xix, (1), 331 pages .
