New York: Bonanza Books. Very Good+ in Near Fine dust jacket. c. 1970. Reprint. Hardcover. 0962117110 . Burgess' book contains 27 chapters that are short lessons in story form about the natural world. First issued by Little, Brown in 1965, this reprint by Bonaza Books was issued later, but with no date. Original rust color cloth covers with black spine lettering. There is a previous owner inscription in red dated 1973 at the top of the title page and a couple of very faint, small spots to the bottom edge of the cover, else this is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings. The dust jacket is in similarly nice condition with no chips, tears, or markings. The dust jacket is now in a protective, removable, acetate cover. Ref: Wright, Burgess Bibliography, p. 115 ; B&W Illustrations; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 254 pages .
