New York: Cupples & Leon Co, 1944. Hardcover. Near Fine/good. [4], 210 p.: frontispiece; 19 cm. Red cloth with black spine and cover titles and front cover illustration. Illustrated endpapers. Color illustrated dust jacket. List of the first 11 titles in The Buddy Books series on verso of title page. This is the eleventh title in the series. The front flap of the dust jacket lists volumes 1 through 20, which was published in 1944; the back section has an advertisement for war bonds and stamps. Gift inscription on front fixed endpaper from Christmas 1944. Ownership section on front free endpaper filled in for E. George Dobosh, Nesquehoning, Pa. Book is in Near Fine Condition: clean and tight. Dust jacket is in Good Condition: loss at ends of spine; chipping and closed tears at edges; tape residue from old repairs at some tears; back section is rubbed; color on front section is bright.
