Clean and bright, though with a fold across the top free corners of pp.xi-xvii and a small, neatly closed edge tear at p.xvii, as well as fingerprint-sized, shallow ripples at the top free corners of 335-603; no owners' marks or bookplate; full dark red leather binding has a small, shallow dent at the top left rear corner, another at the second raised band, a very small scratch near the spine head, and light scuffing along the bottom rear edge, otherwise attractive. Bound-in ribbon marker, all page edges gilded, peach moire endpapers. xxii, 604pp. From "The 100 Greatest Books Ever Written" set.; Lithograph; 4to.
