Edited, with introduction & notes, by Robert Edouard Pellissier. With portrait of Racine. Oxford French Series. Expected library inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Pages have mild tanning and foxing throughout, moderate at end-papers, paste-downs and text-block edges. Library stamp and previous owner's inscription to front free end-paper. Annotations and marginalia to most of book. Binding remains firm. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Mild crushing to spine ends with wear to cloth. Top edge of text block is heavily dust marked. Gilt lettering is darkened. Further dust marking to both boards.
