London: Collins, 1945. 48pp. 8 plates in colour and 80 illustrations in black & white. From the library of the writer Louis Stanley. D.j. a little rubbed and sunned on spine. No 83 from Collins 'Britain in Picture' series1941-1950. A total of 132 volumes were produced in the series. They were printed on Mellotex Book paper so have survived in much better condition than most other books of the period. The general editor was W.J.Turner.. a LITTLE FOXING. 1st edition. hard back. Fine/Fine. small quarto.
