London: Collins, 1946. From the "Britain in Pictures" series. Bumped and edgeworn, boards loose. Pages tanned. DJ chipped and torn with sections of the spine missing, now in mylar. Inscribed "With best wishes from Victoria Alex. Drummond Sept. 1948." Drummond, Goddaughter of Queen Victoria, was Britain's first woman marine engineer and first woman member of the Institute of Marine Engineers. She was awarded the MBE for valor while under attack aboard the SS Bonita during World War II. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Hard Cover. Poor/Poor.
