About This Item

London: Hodder and Stoughton, 1952. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. 12mo., 192pp. Sharp Reprint, a H&S "Yellow-Jacket" Originally published in 1927. Bound in red cloth with titles in black on spine and the H&S logo blind-stamped on the front board. Square, tight and clean throughout with little wear. Small Foyle's bookseller ticket on front paste-down. Very well-preserved. Very attractive unclipped dust jacket, (5/- net), has some tiny nicks and closed edge-tears. Spine a touch toned. Mild surface rubbing. Still fresh and bright. A very pretty collectable copy and even the reprints are uncommon, particularly in the original dust-jacket and on this side of the Atlantic. (Hubin, p.411).
