Macmillan, London., 1951. First edition. Octavo. pp viii, 236, [1]. A novel.Loosely inserted: three Autograph Letters and one Typed Letter all signed by the author and dating from 1953 to 1956. One letter is on his Plas Newydd, Llanfairpwll, headed writing paper and the other three headed 16 Campden Hill Square, W.8. The recipient is Julian Hall and the chatty letters discuss, among other things, visits to the theatre (Morgan suggests going to see The Seven Year Itch), Virginia McKenna and Rosemary Harris as possible cast members in Morgan's play The Burning Glass, and the fact that the writer has been elected International President of P.E.N. Hall's ownership signature is on the front free endpaper of the book.Letters: fold creases; one slightly torn; very good. Book: very good; no dustwrapper.
