Franklin Cente, PA: The Franklin Library, 1981. First Printing, First Edition Thus. . Full-Leather. Fine/Issued Without Jacket. The limited edition of a late novel by Shaw, a mid-20th Century playwright and novelist probably best known for "The Young Lions" and "Lucy Crown." This is the Franklin Library Limited Edition in black full leather with gilt decoration and lettering on the spine and both covers, with three raised bands on the spine, green moire silk pastedowns and a matching ribbon bookmark sewn-in. 491 pages on archival-quality paper; all text edges gilded. Illustrated by Mark Bellerose, and containing a "Special Message" by the author to the reader. Perhaps a bit of soiling on text edges, o/w clean and unmarked, tight and square. Very collectable.
